Encourage a News of the World advertiser boycott
Final update to this post (6.30pm, 7 July): The News of the World is to close after this weekend's advertising-free issue.
I realise there are a lot of different points of view about this news, but my personal take is that this is a victory for campaigns like this one and especially those on Twitter and Facebook which had far more than the 4,000 hits this site got (which is a significant number, far higher than I'd ever imagined when I set this up, btw, in case that sounded dismissive!).
Sure, they might set up a Sun on Sunday, and sure, Rebekah Brooks is currently still in a job, but the Sun on Sunday is now being actively talked about in the same breath in the news coverage as the News of the World so will be tainted from the start (and drags the Sun further into the associated mire), and no-one who was calling for Brooks to go before this news isn't still calling for her to go after it: in fact, there are now 200 freshly sacked NotW insiders who are well up for a fight and may know where the bodies are buried...
This isn't the end, but it is a result in no small part of the number of advertisers who've pulled out as a result of campaigns like this one. Congratulations to all who took part.
(The rest of this post is as at this morning for archive purposes.)
Inspired by this page that lets you easily tweet a complaint at NotW advertisers, I've set up this page which lets you e-mail in a complaint to them. I suspect this will be more effective than tweeting, but hey, why not do both?
If you haven't seen it, this is the story that's prompted people to want advertisers to withdraw their funds from the NotW.
UPDATE:This is moving too fast for me to keep up with unfortunately but I'll try to add a note to advertisers listed below who make public statements about their advertising in NotW. You can see Political Scrapbook's list of advertisers who have done so over here.
BrandAlley UK
BrandAlley say they are awaiting the outcome of the police investigation before they make a decision. Why not tweak the wording of your message to take account of this? You may want to point out to them that no-one from the News of the World has ever denied that the Dowler hacking, not to mention numerous other, equally bad examples (Soham, 7/7 victims etc.) revealed since, happened.
UPDATE: In the comments below this post is an e-mail BrandAlley sent to someone who'd e-mailed them. They say they have no print ads planned at the moment anyway, but that's missing the point that once they do want to place print ads, they need to assure people that it won't be with the NotW!
Butlins
Cadbury's
This tweet suggests Cadbury's are among those now confirmed as pulling their ads from the NotW. It's therefore not a priority to e-mail them, unless you're particularly keen to reiterate the point that they should ensure a long-lasting boycott.

You'll also need to pick a Category. 'More about us' > 'About us & careers' looks sensible.
Co-Operative group
Member of the Co-Op? Dawn has a special suggested message for you to send, what with you owning the Co-Op and everything. (Unbelievably they're so far the only advertiser to rule out boycotting NotW - not doing much for their ethical image...)
UPDATE (12.20pm, 6 Jul): Co-Op have announced they are listening to their members and will therefore temporarily suspend advertising with NOTW. Up to you whether you want to contact them to ensure it's a long suspension, but at least they've seen a bit of sense at last - well done everyone!
Dixons Retail Ltd (PC World, Currys etc.)
Dixons Retail say they are considering their position about this. Help them consider it by e-mailing them - you may want to tweak the wording slightly to take account of this though.
easyJet
First Choice
Renault UK

You'll also need to pick a 'Reason for query': 'Other' looks sensible.
